Overview

Lennox, a leader in HVAC and refrigeration solutions, is seeking a skilled MIG Welder for its AES division in Reno, NV. The role involves performing welding tasks with precision, working with materials like galvanized steel and aluminum, and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
  • MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
  • Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components.

Requirements

  • Familiar with safe welding practices.
  • Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
  • Capable of welding 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel.
  • Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
  • Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Individual must be a self-starter and need minimal guidance on daily tasks.
  • Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams.
  • Individual must have a working knowledge of MIG welding machines with respect to preventive maintenance and control settings.
  • Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: Trade school or certification in welding.
  • Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience.
  • Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Information

  • This is an hourly non-exempt role.
  • The starting pay range for this role is $21.75/hour.
  • Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week.
  • Depending on date of hire, new employees in this role also receive up to 10 days paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
