Overview

The Technical Field Advisor is responsible for all technical aspects, support, and advice related to the overhaul, inspection, repair, and installation of various equipment, including centrifugal compressors and steam turbines. The role involves troubleshooting, shop support, and technical report writing, and reports directly to the field service operations manager.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance, and continual improvement.
• Adhere to the Company's objectives, including Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Information Security.
• Ensure compliance with the Field Service department’s standard operating procedures.
• Provide advisory work on centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and related components.
• Manage projects and develop detailed technical procedures.
• Develop and review project plans and inspection test plans.
• Create technical packages for assigned projects, including Inspection Records Forms and Drawings.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum high school and/or trade school graduate.
• 10+ years of experience in rotating equipment and machinery, preferably with centrifugal compressors and steam turbines.
• 10+ years of experience in the refinery and petrochemical industry.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and translate technical drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel) and Adobe.
• Intermediate or higher level of computer skills.
• Expert in rotating equipment alignment using laser and dial indicator.
• Willingness to travel by air when required.
• Willingness to work night shifts when required.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• TWIC cardholder.
• Passport holder.

• Work environment includes petrochemical field and office environments.
