Overview

The Senior Processing Mechanic at Mary Kay is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various processing and sanitation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role involves troubleshooting, documentation, training, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore equipment functionality.
  • Assist in the installation, assembly, and disassembly of machinery and equipment.
  • Train, develop, and provide guidance for other maintenance mechanics.
  • Lead improvement projects and initiatives within and across departments.
  • Document all work, adjustments, and parts replacements in a computerized maintenance management system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, P&ID's, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and basic programming is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills within and between different teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills in using the Internet, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Certification in sanitary welding is a plus.

Additional Information

  • Full-time employment
  • Work Hours - 8 hrs/day - Monday-Friday (40 hrs/week)
  • Work schedule - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Frequent overtime, long shifts, and night or weekend work may be required.
