Overview

We seek an experienced forklift technician with 3+ years' experience in a shop or field setting. This position involves diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, or overhauling mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, and Articulate Boom equipment, used in construction.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a shop or field setting as a forklift technician or automotive technician.
• Troubleshooting skills to determine causes of operating errors.
• Equipment maintenance skills to perform routine maintenance and determine maintenance needs.
• Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment for the job.
• Installation skills for equipment, machines, wiring, or programs.
• Operating monitoring skills to ensure machines are working properly.
• Problem sensitivity to recognize when something is wrong.
• Information ordering skills to arrange actions according to specific rules.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate or assemble objects.
• Near vision to see details at close range.
• Multi-limb coordination to coordinate limbs while performing tasks.
• Control precision to adjust machine controls accurately.
• Driver's License is required with a clean DMV record.
