Overview

API Heat Transfer, a global leader in specialty heat exchangers, is seeking skilled Steel Welders for its Iron Ridge manufacturing team. This role involves performing MIG and TIG welding operations on steel components in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble components according to engineering drawings and quality requirements.
  • Inspect welded parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
  • Perform rework and repairs when necessary.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
  • Ability to use measuring devices, including tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
