Responsibilities

  • Provide and meticulously check drawings and Bills of Material (BOM) to meet precise customer requirements.
  • Prepare bulk Material Take Offs (MTOs) and detailed BOMs with a high degree of independence.
  • Ensure all drawings adhere strictly to established Engineering and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards.
  • Develop and complete a wide array of mechanical, piping, and structural deliverable drawings and documents.
  • Supervise outsourced engineering design work performed by third-party engineering and design firms.
  • Review vendor data and drawings as needed to ensure full compliance with client specifications and applicable industry standards.
  • Generate report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to project teams, clients, and third parties.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by providing 'Lessons Learned' feedback and utilizing findings to update tools and procedures.
  • Resolve technical problems by identifying and selecting optimal solutions through acquired technical experience and factual analysis.

Requirements

  • Technical Certification in a design discipline or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical, piping, and structural scopes of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear and effective drawings and sketches to illustrate design concepts and ideas.
  • Mastery knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, PDF Editor, SolidWorks, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manager/Freedom.
  • Operational knowledge in SAP, Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk BIM 360.
  • General knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including AHRI, ANSI, AWS, IBC, MFMA, MSS, OSHA, NFPA.
  • Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure in high-stress environments and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Exceptional work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a high level of quality and due diligence.
  • Ability to organize and express complex ideas clearly in written documents and effectively in both individual and group situations.
