Overview

Leader Ambulance, part of Terex Corporation, is a Southern California-based manufacturer of emergency vehicles, committed to safety and quality. The Installer I position involves the installation of various vehicle interior and exterior parts, requiring attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of all interior/exterior components and hardware
  • Set work priorities to meet production goals as schedules
  • Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
  • Function with a minimal amount of supervision
  • Close attention to detail
  • Meet standards of safety and 5S standards
  • Promote the use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
  • Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance policy
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
  • Must be able to prioritize work
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English
  • Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devices
  • Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it
  • 0-1 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
