Overview

The Staff Pipeline Engineer will work on project teams to design new pipeline projects and alterations, ensuring plans meet budget constraints and client needs. This role involves collaboration throughout the design and construction process for transmission and distribution pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipeline design from conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various pipeline projects.
  • Design pipeline components according to project needs and requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of pipeline engineering concepts, principles, and codes.
  • Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
  • Update drawings provided by senior engineers using CAD software.
  • Compile information for client presentations and contract administration.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of pipeline engineering experience required, consulting preferred.
  • Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology, or related degree from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 3 years of pipeline engineering experience required, consulting preferred.
  • Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 2 years of pipeline engineering experience required, consulting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in standard pipeline engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
