Overview

Waga Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Bala Cynwyd, PA, focusing on the delivery of renewable natural gas (RNG) solutions through innovative landfill gas upgrading technology. The role involves supporting projects from feasibility analysis to ongoing operations, contributing to a sustainable energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and execution of project scope and schedule from FEED studies to project delivery.
  • Support regulatory and permitting tasks to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
  • Assist with procurement of equipment by drafting specifications and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Track and document project information relevant to procurement and scheduling.
  • Manage subcontractors including engineers and site contractors to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure successful handover of new projects to the internal operations team.
  • Support ongoing operations through technical troubleshooting and system checks.
  • Maintain a focus on safety and process optimization throughout all project phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, process or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a project engineering role.
  • Passion for environmental preservation and sustainability.
  • Experience with conception and commissioning of equipment in gas, chemical, or heat production industries.
  • Knowledge of pressure equipment design.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly analytical and well organized.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with DraftSight/AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software is a plus.

Additional Information

  • Position requires +/- 25% domestic travel time including overnight stays.
  • Some international travel may also be required.
