Overview

The Millwright, Maintenance I is a skilled mechanical maintenance position responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment. The role focuses on fluid handling systems, pneumatic systems, automated valves, and related mechanical devices, supporting a continuous manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and GMP work policies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot recurring mechanical failures and perform equipment condition inspections.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and verify operation of pumps, mechanical seals, and related process equipment.
  • Maintain and repair process flow-control and material handling equipment.
  • Service pneumatic and valve-control components.
  • Support spare parts identification and PM improvement.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance issues.
  • Communicate effectively with various personnel to coordinate work and repair status.
  • Document work performed and findings in the CMMS.
  • Support work outside primary focus areas as business needs require.

Requirements

  • Ability to freely move around the entire facility.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection.
  • Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs frequently.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in heat and support a 24/7 production facility.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Root cause problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on mechanical competency with various mechanical systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong personal accountability for safety and workmanship.
