M&N Structures, Inc. is a structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator located in Winsted, MN, serving customers primarily in the upper Midwest. They are seeking a Structural Fabricator/Welder to join their growing team, working on diverse projects across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Read shop drawings to understand necessary production process and weld symbols.
• Load and unload work area using forklifts.
• Layout fabrication assemblies and fit parts to them.
• Complete welds indicated using wire feed spray transfer (MIG).
• Cut parts with oxy-fuel or plasma torch, grind parts or welds as required.
• Adhere to established quality standards and check quality of work.
• Document the work performed using computer software systems.
• Set up and maintain equipment including preventative maintenance.
• Manage needed consumables to ensure tools are available.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety regulations.
• Complete work and adjust priorities to maintain production schedules.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Vocational or Technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years previous work experience in a related field preferred.
• Previous welding certifications a plus.
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and handle communication openly.
• Must have an enthusiasm for learning and growing as part of the team.
• Knowledge of Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication processes.
• Comfortable with lifting large, awkward, and heavy loads using forklifts.
• Ability to read and understand measuring devices such as a tape measure.
• Ability to work with computers, tablets, and smartphones.
• Must have good time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
