Overview

At Vallourec, we are seeking individuals whose passion and dedication match the strength and resilience of the steel we produce. As a Saw/Swage Operator - 2nd Shift, you will support the manufacturing process by operating specialized equipment used to cut, form, and prepare tubular products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and product traceability.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and learning saw and swage equipment.
  • Locating, pulling, and handling material throughout the facility.
  • Using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, scales, and tape measures to verify product dimensions.
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Maintaining product traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists to safely move material.
  • Assisting with machine setup, die changes, and production changeovers.
  • Following all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing, machine shop, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
  • Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
