Overview

As a Structural Engineering Professional, you will be a key member of the design team, responsible for structural analysis and design, while contributing to innovative solutions that positively impact communities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design with little or no supervision.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the evaluation and adaptation of engineering techniques.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess knowledge of lateral analysis and design principles, including wind and seismic provisions.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and quality control.
  • Check your own work and seek guidance when needed.
  • Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work.
  • Manage workload and take ownership of assigned work.
  • Define scope and forecast effort needed to complete tasks.
  • Identify scope changes and escalate to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
  • Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop leadership skills and provide mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Advance workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural engineering.
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading small teams.
