Overview

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a full-time Bridge Designer with 2-4 years of experience for their Greater Los Angeles Structural office. The role involves working on various infrastructure projects, including bridges and waterfront infrastructure, while fostering a collaborative team culture that emphasizes professional growth and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Work on structural design for infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with public and private clients through planning, design, permitting, and construction.
  • Engage in team collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in social events, educational programs, and technical training.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • M.S. in Civil Engineering preferred with a structural emphasis.
  • EIT certification is required.
  • Experience in concrete, steel, and timber coursework and/or design.
  • Knowledge of pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design.
  • Familiarity with non-linear analysis.
  • At least two years of full-time experience as a structural DE or equivalent.

Additional Information

  • 40-hour work schedule, Monday through Friday.
  • Flexible scheduling with core hours of collaboration from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Hybrid schedule of 2 days per week in the office may be accommodated after training.
