Overview

The Pipefitter Supervisor (Pipefitter Foreman) is responsible for supervising and training inmate workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems and equipment related to the Steamfitter/Pipefitter trade, while ensuring the security of the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and trains inmate workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems and equipment.
  • Oversees heating systems, high and low pressure steam systems, coal and ash handling systems, and auxiliary steam equipment.
  • Maintains piping and related equipment for housing units, supportive buildings, guard towers, and the main powerhouse.
  • Ensures the security of the institution as a primary responsibility.
