Overview

Tradesmen International is hiring experienced Welders for projects in the Jacksonville, FL area, offering a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $28/hour based on experience and skill level. This position allows Welders to work alongside proven craftsmen who prioritize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret structural blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Layout, measure, fit, and assemble structural steel.
  • Work with beams, columns, channels, angles, plate, and other structural components.
  • Fit steel according to drawings and required measurements.
  • Measure and mark material for cutting and fabrication.
  • Use grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication tools.
  • Tack weld components into position for final welding.
  • Check assemblies for proper dimensions, alignment, square, and fit.

Requirements

  • Previous structural steel fitting experience.
  • Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing reading skills.
  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Experience laying out and fitting structural steel.
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and fit-up requirements.
