JLG, an Oshkosh Company, is committed to delivering innovative solutions in the access market since 1969. The Welder position involves operating welding equipment to fabricate high-quality parts while ensuring precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Pass and maintain certification through the Welder Qualification Test.
  • Operate overhead cranes to safely position parts for welding.
  • Adjust machine settings for proper weld configurations.
  • Clean finished welds using tools such as grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns.
  • Heat, form, and weld metal parts in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Use measuring tools accurately to ensure specification compliance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and follow verbal/written work instructions.
  • Assemble and weld metal components with precision.
  • Position and secure parts correctly prior to welding.
  • Cross-train and work across production areas as needed.
  • Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and 6S procedures.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • Ability to wear a standard welding helmet for extended periods.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Welding certification from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations may occur.
  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, and lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds.
