Overview

Bates Collision Centers is a family-owned auto body shop seeking an Auto Body Helper/Apprentice to assist with vehicle repairs and learn from experienced technicians. The company offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and a range of competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Disassembles vehicles to assist Estimator with preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
  • Reassembles vehicles.
  • Assists in performing quality repairs.
  • Completes small body work/panel repair; files, grinds, and sands repaired panels using power tools and hand tools.
  • Operates a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Assists & trains with the lead body technician in various tasks including vehicle frame repair set-up & measuring, MIG welding, plastic welding, plastic repair, glass replacement, and mechanical repairs.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in general automotive or body repair.
