Job Description

Overview

MiniMed is offering a summer internship for Engineering Interns in 2027, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to their mission of improving the lives of people with diabetes. Interns will work in various engineering areas, participate in a collaborative environment, and receive support for their professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development.
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation.
  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
  • Designs, develops and provides safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
  • Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems.
  • Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems.
  • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.

Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States.

Additional Information

  • Internships are full-time (40 hours/week), lasting 10-11 weeks.
  • Interns must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
