Overview

The Craft Specialist in the Plumbing Shop is responsible for managing multiple projects, completing service work orders, and performing preventive maintenance under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor or Lead Craft Specialist. This role requires the use of various tools and instruments to ensure proper plumbing maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper paperwork, including Infection Control Permits and Maintenance Activity Reports.
  • Maintain general plumbing components such as toilets, urinals, and faucets.
  • Install, repair, or replace domestic hot and cold water lines and associated valves.
  • Perform a dynamic preventative maintenance program and apply information from blueprints.
  • Repair and replace domestic drinking water systems.
  • Install, test, and repair backflow prevention devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair water and gas utility distribution systems.
  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED - Preferred
  • Two (2) plus years' experience at an apprentice level in the craft or trade
  • Electrical and Mechanical background
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency is a requirement
  • Journeyman Plumbers License - Required
  • Medical Gas Brazing Certificate - Required
