Overview

WET creates projects that transform the way people experience nature’s elements, focusing on multi-sensory experiences. The CNC Brake Press Operator plays a crucial role in the Fabrication Department, executing production requirements from drawing to shipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate Trumpf CNC Brake Press machines.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components based on schematics and engineering drawings.
• Determine required methods and materials, and plan, fabricate and assemble various sheet metal products according to engineering blueprints.
• Manipulate flat patterns and perform layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material.
• Select gauges and types of sheet metal to use according to specifications.
• Manage inventory levels of material, consumables, and shop floor supplies.
• Lead and/or participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including 5S and Kaizen Events.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Provide feedback to site management to identify future requirements.
• Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products.
• Confer with engineers and production personnel to resolve component or assembly issues.
• Cut, program, bend, deburr, inspect, install perm nuts, rivets or other small assemblies as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with operating sheet metal machinery to fabricate units with complex contours.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools, including precision measurement tools.
• Ability to operate CNC Laser and CNC Punch Press is a plus.
• Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs.
• Stand a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
