Overview

The Equipment Maintenance Mechanic II - 2nd Shift position at Fellowes involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing plant production equipment while promoting a safe work environment. Responsibilities

• Perform routine duties of preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment.
• Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
• Monitor equipment performance and minimize unscheduled downtime.
• Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work from prints, sketches, instructions, manuals, and schematics.
• Assist with machine set-ups for production.
• Fabricate, develop, assemble, and install equipment.
• Perform routine safety checks on production equipment.
• Report equipment problems and lockout/tagout situations to the Supervisor.
• Account for tasks and parts usages in MP2.
• Perform general housekeeping of the maintenance shop and job site.
• Provide suggestions for improving departmental processes.

Requirements

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Successfully pass mechanical aptitude exams.
• Complete required lift truck operation tests and obtain necessary licensing.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and availability for overtime.
• Fulfill all essential job functions in a safe manner.
• Abide by all safety policies and procedures.
• Meet all Mechanic I qualifications.
• Prior mechanical and manufacturing experience of at least five years.
• Sufficient keyboard and PC literacy to complete work orders in MP2.

Additional Information

• This is a second shift position from 2PM-10PM Monday-Friday.
• The hiring range for this position in Itasca is $25-32 per hour with a $0.60 shift differential.
