Overview

CITGO Petroleum Corporation is a leader in the refining industry, operating three refineries and numerous terminals and plants. The Heavy Craft Technician position involves working in a refinery environment to perform equipment maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile equipment in a refinery environment.
  • Perform equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct fixed equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance.
  • Execute basic maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Basic Maintenance Skills.
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic piping fundamentals.
  • Ability to perform basic hydrotesting of piping and equipment.
  • Experience with basic valve maintenance.
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices.
  • Capability to operate overhead davits and cranes.
  • Skill in removing and replacing vacuum breakers/rupture discs.
  • Ability to work in a refinery environment and outdoors.
  • Ability to climb and wear SCBA.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility.
  • 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Class A CDL is preferred.
  • Fork Truck Certified is preferred.
  • Carry Deck Certified is preferred.
  • Crane Certified (Up to 60 ton crane) is preferred.
