Overview

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery, repairing and replacing parts, and ensuring a safe working environment. Responsibilities

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
  • Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
  • Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts.
  • Participates in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; plus one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Full understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and HVAC control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings.

Additional Information

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed.
