Overview

KIK Consumer Products is a leading independent manufacturer in North America, specializing in home and pool-care products. They are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and troubleshoot high-speed processing and packaging systems, ensuring efficient operations and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot production machinery, equipment, and facility systems for processing and packaging.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and deliver timely repairs using fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Use machine-shop and hand tools to make or repair parts as directed.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and safety inspections; record findings and work orders in the CMMS.
  • Set up, tear down, and relocate processing and packaging equipment; support equipment changeovers for new products and sizes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components; escalate complex PLC/control issues to senior technicians when needed.
  • Respond rapidly to breakdowns with a customer-service mindset; communicate status and parts needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years in mechanical maintenance within high-speed packaging, bottling, or similar manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • 2+ years of basic welding (strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on strength in hydraulics and pneumatics, basic welding/fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and simple schematics.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems at a maintenance-mechanic level.
  • Experience with a CMMS for work orders, parts tracking, and preventive maintenance (preferred).
  • Comfort working around chemicals and in high-noise areas while wearing required PPE.
  • Clear communication, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach.

Additional Information

  • Shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am with weekends per business need.
  • Base hourly rate ranging from $32.00 to $35.00, plus a second shift differential of $0.50.
