Overview

Grantek is a leading provider of integrated automation, smart manufacturing, and industrial information solutions. Compumation, a sister company, is looking to hire a panel builder to support their design and manufacturing team, providing automation solutions to various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Build and wire panels from scratch reading electrical schematics.
  • Perform field wiring to either the panel I/O or field mount I/O devices.
  • Read and understand pneumatic schematics for pneumatic plumbing.
  • Mount electrical controls components to the machine and fabricate mounting brackets as required.
  • Troubleshoot and debug systems to diagnose trouble or defects and determine corrective actions.
  • Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition after troubleshooting.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation systems and components.
  • Provide status updates to management on assigned projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or technical school course work.
  • 2+ years of experience wiring automated equipment.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand/power tools and test equipment related to panel builder duties.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
