Overview

Ferrero is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on production and facilities support equipment. The role emphasizes collaboration to achieve business objectives related to safety, productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex processes and high-speed packaging machinery.
  • Repair and use material handling equipment including various types of pallet jacks and lifts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machinery manuals to diagnose problems and verify proper equipment operation.
  • Layout, plan, measure, and execute tasks to support maintenance efforts.
  • Utilize power and hand tools properly and safely.
  • Execute and electronically report scheduled PMs and work orders in SAP CMMS.
  • Install new equipment as necessary.
  • Clean tools, parts, and equipment after maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical expertise to train and support production.
  • Actively participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field or Journeyman Certification preferred.
  • Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
  • 3 years of prior experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience must include diagnostic troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
  • Experience in a food-manufacturing environment is preferred.
