Overview

Sloan is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, providing sustainable restroom solutions since 1906. The Mechanic Electrician C role involves repairing, installing, assembling, and maintaining various production and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work from work orders, prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
  • Diagnose machine or equipment problems and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Tear down equipment, replace defective parts, and test repaired equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and check for proper operation.
  • Assist higher-level electricians in checking and replacing worn parts.
  • Move and install equipment, disconnect and reconnect utility lines as necessary.
  • Build special machinery following assembly layouts and order parts.
  • Hook up and test run equipment.
  • Fabricate sheet metal, plastic, and wood for safety devices.
  • Use personal computer and various tools and equipment as required.
  • Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Knowledge of electrical power up to 240 volts.
  • Proficient in shop math and complicated drawings.
