Overview

The Recovery Equipment Operator at the Inland Group of Companies plays a crucial role in supporting glycol recovery and processing operations at LaGuardia Airport and other Northeast US stations. This position focuses on the safe operation and maintenance of glycol recovery equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate glycol recovery and processing equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Collect spent aircraft de-icing fluid while minimizing environmental risks.
  • Monitor, inspect, test, and maintain glycol processing and recycling systems.
  • Perform product quality assurance, sampling, testing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Conduct truck transfer operations, including loading and unloading tankers.
  • Support glycol recovery activities and maintain company-owned equipment in operational condition.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities and contractors while adhering to security procedures.
  • Drive company vehicle to pick up spare parts and supplies as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of all required training programs.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and interpret safety rules and procedures.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle operations and ability to operate motor vehicles safely.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and CDL required.

  • Position primarily at LaGuardia Airport, East Elmhurst, NY.
  • Work performed in office, warehouse, and outdoor environments with exposure to varying conditions.
  • Schedule determined in coordination with management upon hire.
  • No travel is anticipated for this position.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required airport security clearances.
