Overview

As a Welder on the 2nd Shift at Exential, you will contribute to engineering excellence in high-tech markets such as semiconductors and biotechnology. This role involves performing GTAW and GMAW welding to produce high-quality PSP® products while adhering to safety and production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the work area and select materials for production.
  • Weld stainless steel and black iron in various positions and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot welding equipment as necessary.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Follow established production philosophies to enhance safety and quality.
  • Continue to learn and expand skills within the job.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by the Department Lead.

Requirements

  • Preferably a minimum of 1 year of experience performing GTAW; GMAW experience is a plus.
  • Strong skills in GMAW and GTAW welding.
  • Ability to read and understand cut sheets and engineering prints.
  • Knowledge of basic metallurgy and weld symbols.
  • Proficient in English for following directions and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic sheet metal layout.
  • Basic math skills including arithmetic and geometry.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16".
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Availability for night and overnight shifts.
