Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect mill stands and guides returned from the mill floor.
• Conduct thorough inspections of mill stands, guides, and associated equipment to determine needed repairs.
• Make repairs to mill stands and guiding equipment using blueprints.
• Operate robots to replace mill stand rolls in preparation for production.
• Prepare guides for upcoming product rollings.
• Set up mill stands for use in the mill once rolls are installed.
• Open work orders and navigate QMOS for documentation.
• Order parts and maintain minimum spare parts inventory in the Roll Shop.
• Help prioritize roll redressing based on availability and rolling cycle.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the working area.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to assist rolling mill employees with product changeover and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Roll Turners and Roll Shop Routine Facilitator.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrate positive engagement and attitude with clear communication.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work at heights in extreme temperatures.
