Overview

Corning is a leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science, seeking a Production Maintenance Associate II to provide diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, performing mechanical repairs, and training other technicians while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on CNC machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies.
  • Complete maintenance-related paperwork and maintain safety standards.
  • Train and develop Level I & II technicians.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in performing maintenance of CNC machines.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Knowledge of OEM machine controllers (FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
  • Advanced knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, welding, and facilities-related skills.
