Overview

Okland is a commercial general contractor and construction management company with over 1,300 team members, specializing in complex projects across various markets. They are seeking a Pipefitter Journeyman who will lead teams in installing piping systems while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise crews of pipefitters and apprentices on active construction projects.
  • Plan and organize daily work to meet production and schedule goals.
  • Interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and construction drawings accurately.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and tools for optimal workflow.
  • Inspect layout, fit-up, and installation to meet specifications and cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate effectively with superintendents, QA/QC, and safety teams.
  • Track crew hours, materials, and progress; report updates to project leadership.
  • Promote and enforce all company and site safety policies.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pipefitting experience, with 2+ years in a journeyman or lead role.
  • NCCER Certification a plus.
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-purity piping environments.
  • Familiarity with plastic piping systems (PVDF, PP, PVC) and fusion processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and drive field productivity.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and P&IDs.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 and cleanroom experience preferred.
