Overview

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Pipefitter for the Tempe JGMWTP Project in Tempe, Arizona. The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related portions including metal, plastic, ceramic and composition; install plumbing fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and installs piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
  • Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage and sewage lines from buildings to the point of attachment.
  • Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
  • Experience working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
