Overview

The Technician Field role involves completing work according to engineering specifications and procedures, documenting maintenance activities, and providing technical feedback to enhance component reliability. The position requires working with hazardous materials and performing limited supply duties.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Center Procedures, Field Advisory Bulletins, and Contractor Installation Procedures.
  • Document work in automated maintenance data collection systems according to Apache Fire Control processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical feedback on electro-mechanical components to promote reliability improvements.
  • Work with hazardous materials and chemicals, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Perform limited supply duties such as loading and unloading trucks and operating overhead hoists.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or 5 - 8 years of relative experience.
  • 1-2 years experience with Solder certification (J-STD-001) to repair cables and harnesses.
  • 1-2 years experience with troubleshooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment.
  • 1-2 years experience with the operation of general purpose and/or automated test equipment.
  • 1-2 years experience with industrial standards, military specifications, and industry processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to mix and weigh chemicals.
  • Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
