Overview

The Facility Technician position at U-Haul involves performing repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, and drywall, requiring a strong background in electrical motors and troubleshooting. Candidates must demonstrate their authentic experiences and skills throughout the evaluation process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and evaporative coolers.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, drains, and water lines.
  • Repair, patch, texture, and finish drywall surfaces as needed.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting to maintain building appearance.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work accurately.

Requirements

  • Strong background in electrical motors, controllers, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to weld is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and OSHA standards.

  • Hours of operation are 7:00 to 3:30 M-F, with the occasional weekend.
