Overview

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the day shift in Rockwall, TX. The role involves installation and repair of equipment, performing preventative and reactive maintenance, and ensuring quality production in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, follow and enforce all established safety, health, quality GMP and company policies.
  • Monitor quality levels and adjust manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity.
  • Perform installation and maintenance of production machines and plant equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during operation.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
  • Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Perform simple machinist skills.
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations to supervision.
  • Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.

Requirements

  • Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
  • Effective communication skills to convey facts and information clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others and contribute to group objectives.

Additional Information

  • Day shift operates from 6:54am to 3:00pm or until the day's project is complete.
  • Weekly pay starting up to $30.00 per hour based on experience.
