The Fabrication Technician is responsible for producing, assembling, and finishing material components according to engineering specifications while ensuring high-quality fabrication and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as saws, presses, CNC machines, and welding equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials to precise specifications.
  • Perform welding, grinding, drilling, and finishing tasks as required.
  • Inspect fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment; report or escalate equipment issues.
  • Maintain sound safety practices and follow all safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve fabrication or design issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of fabrication, machining, or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient with fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
