Job Description
Overview
EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) to provide maintenance and repair for a variety of heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts at their rental facility in Wilmington, DE. The company aims to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders.
- Track machine service intervals and order parts.
- Diagnose issues using data from various equipment makes and models.
- Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
- Comfortably use laptops and tablets.
- Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
- Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance as required.
- Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must own tools applicable to the position.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
- High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred.
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 years old.

Additional Information
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours.
- This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation.
