Overview

The Maintenance Tech B position supports the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility, focusing on the maintenance and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct, maintain, test and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
  • Determine equipment malfunctions and restore in all areas of Manufacturing.
  • Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Inform management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems.
  • Maintain required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions as directed.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot, schedule and plan maintenance.
  • Follow specific directions and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment.
  • PLC experience is a plus along with electrical troubleshooting.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using tools.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts.
  • Provide maintenance information by using CMMS.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools.
  • Flexibility to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college or training in a technical field.
  • Proven minimum 3 years experience in Industrial Maintenance.

  • Wage is $35.48/hr.
