Overview

We are partnering with an aerospace and defense manufacturer in Starkville, MS that is hiring experienced TIG Welders to perform precision welding on highly regulated components. The role involves working with various materials while adhering to strict quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GTAW/TIG welding on aerospace and defense components
  • Weld aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and specialty alloys
  • Complete precision welds to tight dimensional and quality requirements
  • Read blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, weld maps, and WPS documents
  • Set up welding equipment, fixtures, jigs, and tooling
  • Control heat input and distortion during welding
  • Complete required weld and quality documentation
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production

Requirements

  • 3+ years of welding experience
  • Strong hands-on GTAW/TIG welding experience
  • Experience with precision or high-tolerance welding
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Ability to follow WPS and established welding procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
