Job Description

Overview

Join a seasoned team at Geremarie in Lake Zurich, Illinois, where you'll be responsible for building precision aluminum components for the marine and recreation industries using advanced equipment and craftsmanship developed over 30 years.

Responsibilities

  • TIG (GTAW) weld aluminum parts and assemblies to exacting specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to plan each weld.
  • Configure and fine-tune welding equipment for aluminum alloys and thicknesses.
  • Inspect and verify weld quality against standards and customer specifications.
  • Grind, clean, and finish joints to required cosmetic and dimensional criteria.
  • Follow safety protocols, PPE guidelines, and company procedures at all times.
  • Keep your station organized and audit-ready using 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with leads and teammates to align on priorities and throughput.
  • Consistently hit daily quality and production targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of aluminum TIG experience, including thin-gauge work.
  • Fluency reading blueprints; skilled with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Knowledge of weld symbols and common fabrication practices.
  • Quality mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • AWS certification is a plus.
  • Background in production/manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO or similar quality management systems.
