Overview

The TDCJ Welding Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Rosharon/Alvin, TX, responsible for delivering welding instruction to learners within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) program. The instructor designs and delivers lessons that align with established curriculum standards, demonstrating proper welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment usage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare instructional materials for welding lessons.
  • Supervise hands-on welding labs.
  • Assess student performance and maintain accurate records of progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with college staff and TDCJ personnel to uphold institutional guidelines.

Requirements
