Overview

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking an Inspector to join their Maintenance Inspection Team at the Chocolate Bayou Site in Alvin, TX. The role involves ensuring compliance with PSM regulations and maintaining the mechanical integrity of process equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure PSM compliance for process piping and fixed process equipment.
  • Perform inspections of process piping and equipment using Plant Condition Management Software.
  • Document all PSM compliance inspections electronically.
  • Assist the Chief Inspector in following repairs to process piping and equipment.
  • Aid in quality assurance during Capital Project schedules.
  • Support the Chief Inspector and Unit Personnel in inspection activities.
  • Provide technical expertise for inspection activities and consultation.
  • Communicate and educate customers about the fixed equipment inspection process.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of all inspections and documentation.
  • Stay current with industry codes and specifications.
  • Review documentation for new equipment fabrication.
  • Fulfill Job representative responsibilities when contact personnel are on-site.
  • Assist other Inspectors in developing inspection plans.
  • Coordinate inspection resources for on-site and off-site activities.
  • Promote safety by participating in safety meetings and Job Safety Analysis reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of pressure vessel and piping inspection experience in the Petrochemical, Refining, or Power industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current API-510 or API-570 certification required.
  • Previous certification with ASNT-TC-1A or equivalent Level II NDE certification in VT, PT, MT, UTTM & RTFI.
  • Preferred: 2-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Welding Inspection or similar.
  • Preferred: American Welding Society Certified Welder Inspector Certification.
  • Preferred: API 653 Inspector Certification for Aboveground Storage Tanks.
  • Experience with ASME and API inspection codes.
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills, particularly in technical writing and oral presentations.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
