Overview

Welker is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Sugar Land, Texas, with over 70 years of experience delivering innovative solutions to the oil and gas industry. They are seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to support customer equipment, troubleshooting, and repairs, making a direct impact in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service-related requests, including RMAs and service and repair requests.
  • Provide startup and commissioning support.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Perform equipment retrofits, maintenance, and field service work.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs, findings, and recommendations.
  • Complete required documentation and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (vocational/technical training preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and field service environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
