Overview

We are a leading manufacturer in Southern California with over 60 years in business, seeking Mechanical Engineers to develop, design, and test mechanical systems or products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex engineering projects in various industries.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines.
• Coordinate with project managers to work on projects and understand the scope of work.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting equipment and software to create prototypes.
• Analyze test results and modify designs or systems as needed.
• Oversee the manufacturing process for machinery or equipment.
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design processes.
• Ensure project timelines are met and projects stay within budget.
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis for product testing and design.
• Use Matlab for complex mathematical computations and simulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
• Advanced skills in Engineering Design, Project Engineering, and Product Design.
• Experience in Finite Element Analysis and Matlab.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proven history of successful project management.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
