Overview

The Mechanical Designer role involves creating and managing complex SolidWorks models and drawings, optimizing large assemblies, and ensuring design compliance and manufacturability. The position requires extensive experience in mechanical design and proficiency in Teamcenter for managing workflows and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Create parametric parts, drawings, and complex assemblies in SolidWorks.
  • Maintain large assemblies using Large Design Review and performance profiling techniques.
  • Manage ECR/ECO/ECN workflows and maintain EBOM/MBOM structures in Teamcenter.
  • Execute tolerance stack ups and apply DFM/DFA practices to resolve production issues.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and codes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of mechanical design experience with strong SolidWorks proficiency.
  • Experience optimizing large assemblies in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter for item creation and workflow execution.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and ASME drawing standards.
  • Effective communication skills with high attention to detail.
