Overview

The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness and reliability of mechanized welding equipment and specialty welding systems used in field and shop operations, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, inspect, and repair welding equipment and supporting tools.
  • Ensure equipment availability for project execution.
  • Read and interpret equipment drawings and schematics.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings and schematics.
  • Understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electrical components and their applications.
  • Basic understanding of welding processes and theory.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
