Overview

Openwork is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the engineering and maintenance team at their Pasadena facility. This role involves executing mechanical maintenance activities in a safety-critical environment, ensuring optimal operating conditions for machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, adjust, or replace machinery, processing components, and heavy plant equipment.
• Demonstrate and apply understanding of bearings, conveyors, rotary valves, lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Assist in the plant’s preventative maintenance programs and log completed work orders accurately.
• Perform routine pipefitting, plant plumbing, and minor pump repairs to prevent operational downtime.
• Coordinate with the PM crew and shift operations to execute scheduled repairs efficiently.
• Move parts/equipment safely and maintain maintenance shops, work areas, and tools in a clean condition.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in process equipment maintenance, rotating equipment repair, and pipefitting.
• Proven ability to interpret technical documentation including blueprints, isometrics, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certificate or equivalent training is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with OSHA requirements pertaining to chemical production processes.
• Practical skills in MS Word and MS Excel; ability to use digital timekeeping systems.
