Overview

Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company focused on advanced communications technology, building a global network of phased array ground stations for reliable satellite communication. The Fleet Reliability Intern will design, build, and deploy hardware for this network, impacting operations and business significantly.

Responsibilities

  • Own a ground station hardware project from inception through design, production, and field deployment.
  • Get hands-on experience building complex ground support equipment, wire harnesses, and GSE test setups.
  • Support ongoing critical site operations with customer-serving ground stations around the world.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and solve issues with urgency.
  • Work closely with engineers to see projects through to completion.
  • Learn and gain exposure to real-world problems.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate level program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
  • Ability to work in a professional team environment.

Additional Information

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
